Welcome to the Rotary Club of Kenmore!

As the new President of Kenmore Rotary, I am honoured and excited to lead our club into a new year of service, fellowship, and community impact. Rotary is more than just a club; it's a global network of 1.4 million neighbours, friends, and problem-solvers who unite to make lasting change in our communities and around the world.

What We Do: At Kenmore Rotary, we are dedicated to the Rotary International mission of providing service to others, promoting integrity, and advancing world understanding, goodwill, and peace through our fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders. We have been committed to serving the local community of the western suburbs of Brisbane for over five decades.  Our club currently undertakes a variety of projects that address critical issues such as:

  • Youth Development: We have a strong focus and commitment to supporting our local youth becoming our next generation of leaders.  We support a range of youth-focused initiatives at both primary and secondary school levels including participation in various Rotary Youth development programs and camps, supporting the Kenmore State High School Interact Club and the Kenmore State High School leadership development program.
  • Family and Domestic Violence: We support a multi-year partnership with the Women’s Crisis Support Service to assist families dealing with the devastating effects of domestic violence.
  • International Service: We contribute to international efforts to fight disease, promote peace, and enhance educational opportunities.
The Rotary International theme for this year is "The Magic of Rotary." This theme highlights the power of Rotary in creating positive change. Rotary brings hope and joy, turning dreams into reality through the power of collective action and service to others.

What does the Magic of Rotary mean to me?  In a word, inspiration. Rotary inspires individuals to step forward and take action. By bringing together passionate and dedicated members of the community, we create a ripple effect of positive change.  If you have an interest in giving back to your community, I strongly encourage you to contact the Club to see how you can harness your energy for positive change.

I look forward to working with you all over the upcoming year.

Yours in Rotary service,

Dave Patmore
