World Environment Day – Recycling in Action
Kenmore members joined other Rotarians for a morning of sorting donated medical and educational materials to be sent to remote communities, mainly in the Pacific. This community service project, RARE (Rotary Australia Repurposing Equipment), is an arm of RAWCS (Rotary Australia World Community Service).
The programme gives us a great chance to do some hands-on work, knowing that the equipment loaded into the containers will have a second life, while the recipients receive much needed materials for their schools and medical centres.
