Key Volunteering Opportunities & Programs

  • Youth Programs & Protection: Volunteers are essential for mentoring Interact (ages 12-18) and Rotaract clubs, as well as facilitating the Rotary Youth Exchange. Volunteers working closely with youth must undergo interviews, provide referees, and hold a valid Queensland Working with Children Check (Blue Card). 

  • Event & Emergency Relief: Members frequently volunteer for large-scale community events (like the Gympie Muster) or assist with disaster relief and Rotary Australia World Community Service (RAWCS) projects.
  • Reading Assistance Program (RRAP): Volunteers and Rotarians manage literacy campaigns for children in drought-affected areas.
