Professor Joanne Aitken is Head of the Viertel Cancer Research Centre at Cancer Council Queensland and Director of the Australian Childhood Cancer Registry. She has an Honorary Professorial appointment in the School of Public Health, The University of Queensland and Adjunct Professorial appointments at Queensland University of Technology and the University of Southern Queensland. “Open Eyes Global - Helping Nepalese Kids with Eye Cancer". The object of Open Eyes Global, a NGO, is to raise funds to reduce the burden of cancer on individuals and families in Nepal.
