Dave appreciated the attendance of Lisa Jarrold and Joe Appleton for their support from Kenmore Village.
There is 2 weeks to go for the Cash for Christmas Raffle. Christmas Party is on Saturday night the 7th at One Table. Please wear Christmas attire.
Sanjay Shah recently turned 60 and asked for no gifts but a donation to Rotary. $4500 will be donated to Kenmore Rotary Club. Dave expressed appreciation for his generosity.
Dave presented Joe Appleton, the Marketing Manager of Kenmore Village with a Paul Harris Fellow recognition for his commitment to community projects and his support of Rotary projects such as The Giving Tree, Kenmore Pantry and the Christmas Raffle. A certificate of appreciation was also presented to Kenmore Village Management in recognition for their service to the community. Lisa Jarrold accepted this on behalf of the Management.
The Kenmore Rotary Club was one of 4 Finalists awarded for their Containers for Change project at a Community Group of the Year Award Dinner. Dave recognised those members who collect the bags of containers.
Ricky advised that 5 trolley loads of goods have been donated to the Prison Chaplaincy, Anglicare, St Vincent de Paul and the Salvos. 81 presents have been distributed to 4 Nursing Homes. 47 Christmas Hampers have been packed and wrapped. Ricky thanked those people who have assisted with the packing.
Kenmore Rotary Club members are manning the BBQ this Sunday 8th at Kenmore Anglican Church. This BBQ is paid for by a grant from Greg Adermann. Members who are assisting are to be there by 3:00pm for a 4:30pm BBQ and Christmas Carols at 5:30pm.
Jason discussed the Kenmore State High School Youth and Leadership program. This program is for Year 8 and Year 11 students. It is a 10-week program comprised of 10 x 50-minute slots of discussions and development of communication skills, public speaking and leadership.
Mary recently attended a Rotary Foundation Dinner where the Rotary Club of Kenmore was recognised for 100% Every Rotarian Every Year donation to the Foundation.
Patrick held āIn conversation with new membersā discussions with Luis e Silva and Ruthven Underhill. These were enlightening and entertaining. Thanks were expressed to all involved.
