2023 Queensland Emerging Philanthropist of the Year - Famin has been providing philanthropic support to Women’s Legal Service Queensland (WLSQ) since 2019. Establishing the ‘Famin Makes’ project, she sews hats, sells them, and donates all proceeds to WLSQ. Famin runs this project outside of her full-time work as a solicitor. At just 26 years old, Famin has raised over $61,000 for WLSQ to assist in providing free legal and social work services towomen and their children impacted by domestic and family violence (DFV) and contribute to systemic law reformregarding family law and DFV.
Famin’s determination to encourage others to give back is truly inspirational. She has shown a unique ability toengage the community in her vision, amplify support and raise awareness about DFV in the process.
